GAMELOFT 隱私權政策

The following Agreement is originally written in (British) English. In the event of any conflict between its translated version and the English original version, the English original version shall prevail (please refer to https://www.gameloft.com/zh-hant/privacy-notice/ ).

We take your privacy very seriously and take your rights seriously. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information we collect from you. This Privacy Policy describes what information Gameloft collects and how we use, disclose, transfer, and store it. If you do not want Gameloft to collect, store, use, or share your information as described in this Privacy Policy, you may not be able to play our games or use our services.

Gameloft SE and its affiliates (collectively, "Gameloft") will collect, store and use your information in accordance with this privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") as a data controller in connection with Gameloft's provision and development of games, mobile applications, services and websites (collectively, the "Services").

Regardless of whether you use the service on a mobile device, personal computer or other platform, all our services are subject to the contents of this Privacy Policy.

By using the service, you agree to this privacy policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 22, 2018 and was last modified on June 20, 2018.

1 – How we collect personal information

Gameloft may collect certain personal information from you when you: (a) create an account; (b) play our games or use game-related services; (c) make purchases through our Services; (d) create user-generated content; (e) view advertisements through our Services; (f) subscribe to newsletters; (g) contact Gameloft customer service and participate in technical support sessions; (h) participate in challenges or competitions hosted by Gameloft; (i) chat with other users of the Services; (j) express an interest in participating in game betas; (k) share or post content on our social media channels and other social networking sites; and (l) apply for a job.

2 – Information we collect

Gameloft will only collect such information as is appropriate for the purposes listed below.

a – Information you provide to us

  • Contact information (such as your name and email address)
  • Your age
  • Your username and password
  • Profile information (such as profile picture)
  • Information you provide when requesting assistance from our customer service (such as chat transcripts and customer support case numbers)
  • Other information you provide to us (such as information to identify a lost account)

b – Information collected directly and automatically when you use our services

  • Information about game progress and events
  • Information about your interactions with other players
  • IP address and device identifiers (such as your device ID, advertising ID, MAC address, IMEI)
  • Device information (such as device name, operating system, and browser information, including browser type and the language you prefer to display)
  • Information we collect using cookies and similar technologies (Note: You can refer to our Cookie Policy to learn how to refuse the use of such technologies)
  • Approximate geographic location information
  • Precise geolocation information (GPS)
  • Gameloft Player ID

c – Information received from our partners

  • Information we receive when you connect to third-party social networks (such as Facebook or Game Center)
  • Information from payment partners (if you have subscribed to certain games or made in-game purchases)
  • Information for advertising or data analysis purposes so that we can provide you with better service.

3 – How we use personal information

We use this information primarily to provide you with a better gaming experience, but we may also use your information individually or in combination for the following reasons:

To meet business operation needs and enhance your gaming experience, the purposes include:

  • Providing services consistent with your age and legal requirements in the country where you reside.
  • Provide you with gaming experiences that may be of interest to you and features that you have ordered.
  • Track your use of the Services to help us understand your gaming activity, preferences, and tendencies so we can personalize your experience, provide you with tailored gaming offers and notifications, and improve your gaming experience in other ways.
  • Facilitate the process of sharing news on social networks.
  • Enter you into competitions and contact you when prizes are awarded.
  • Provide you with the opportunity to participate in game testing.
  • Other security reasons such as preventing cheating, crime or fraud.
  • Find bugs and service errors and fix them.
  • Use data for management, analysis, research and optimization.
  • Compile statistics.
  • Comply with all regulations and legal requirements and respond to any requests from data protection authorities or any law enforcement agencies.

To provide you with support services, communicate with you, and respond to any requests or questions you submit through the Customer Support Interface.

To enable us to provide you with a personalised communication channel for the following purposes:

  • Processing your subscription and unsubscription to our newsletter.
  • Contact you to recommend services and contests we may offer.
  • Send you promotional or marketing materials, subject to your prior consent (we will provide you with the option to opt-out of receiving such materials in the future).
  • Consider your interests, profile, age, gender, and location to provide you with more personally targeted advertising.
  • Send advertisements and measure the effectiveness of those advertisements.
  • Collect personal information that you disclose to other users or designated user groups through our messaging, chat or other game features, and collect necessary personal information of users you contact to facilitate communication (Note: We do not collect any information sent outside of our service channels, including emails or text messages.)
  • Providing you with personalized content and offers.

10 –您的權利

If you have previously agreed to receive direct marketing communications from us or subscribed to our newsletter, you can unsubscribe by clicking on the relevant link in each email or newsletter we send you.

If you wish to refuse authorization of cookies or other tracking technologies, please read the Cookie Policy on our website.

Please note that your actions may affect game features, services and other content. Your information and data processing are necessary for Gameloft to provide these services.

Your actions may force Gameloft to stop providing services. Your game will be reset if:

  • If you request changes to such required information, we may not be able to continue to provide you with linked games or game services.
  • If you request to limit Gameloft's processing of necessary information, or object to our processing of such information (in which case we may not be able to provide you with the game or gaming services).
  • If you withdraw your authorization or request deletion of personal information.

If you withdraw your authorization or request to delete personal information, we will no longer use or process your information, but we will retain such information in order to respond to requests from law enforcement agencies or the police. We have the right to retain archived files of such information for a reasonable period of time in commercial practice to ensure that deleting them does not affect the integrity of our data; we also have the right to retain anonymous files of such information.

If you are a parent of a child under the age of 13 (or such other age as required by applicable law) and believe that your child has provided us with information, please complete this form and we will delete the information from our systems.

To ensure the confidentiality of your personal information, we must be able to correctly identify you. Therefore, please provide us with a copy of an official document that can prove your identity. We will destroy this copy for safekeeping within two months of receiving and processing your request.

Our team will follow up on your request and respond to you within one month, unless your request requires further investigation. You will be clearly notified when this happens.

We remind our users in Europe that you have the right to lodge a complaint with the EU data protection regulator.

11 – Third Party Services

This Service may link to external websites that are not under our control. This Privacy Policy only covers our treatment of personal and non-personal information collected through the Service. If you visit external websites, you agree to the privacy policies of those websites. Please be aware that these websites may have different policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. We cannot control and are not responsible for the privacy policies of such third parties.

Therefore, we recommend that you review the privacy policies of all third-party services. Without limiting anything in the following paragraph, we are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or policies of any external service.

12 – Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, such policy will be re-posted on the "Privacy" page of our website and application and will indicate the modification date at the beginning. Therefore, please check this Privacy Policy from time to time to be informed of changes to this Privacy Policy. If you continue to use the Services after the changes are made, it means that you accept those changes; if you do not accept any of the changes, you can send a request to DataProtectionSupport@gameloft.com with the note "Information about changes" in the subject line.

13 – Legal Disclaimer

Our services operate on an as-is basis. We do not represent or guarantee that our services will be available at all times or that there will be no interruptions or errors when you use the services. We are not responsible for your ability to use the services or for matters beyond our control. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of your country of residence. Any disputes arising from the use of the services shall be brought before the competent courts of your country of residence.
