Learn all about our CSR program that focuses on three main pillars: the environment, society, and our talents.

Our Mission

Since the beginning, our mission has been to amaze the world and provide everyone with a moment of happiness. No matter who you are or where you come from, there is a game for you and a place in the industry.

It is important that we carry out our mission in a responsible and sustainable manner. Not only do we want to make incredible games, we also want to create them in a way that ensures people will be able to play them for generations to come.

Our Commitments

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint to help mitigate the negative effects of climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions produced by the use of our games, purchasing, travel, and energy.

Going Green

Our studios are committed to making our workspaces more environmentally friendly. Some are situated in eco-certified buildings and all studios have implemented green policies, such as recycling IT materials, replacing plastic bottles with water fountains, using LED lights, offering sustainably made and plastic-free goodies, and more. In 2024, four of our studios switched to renewable energy sources and we plan to switch all remaining studios by 2030.

Raising Awareness

Along with these actions, we aim to continually educate and inspire our teams, partners, and players. We joined the "Playing for the Planet Alliance" in 2021 and have participated in their "Green Game Jam" every year since to raise awareness for various environmental topics. We also organize conferences with climate experts, onboard our providers with a sustainable mindset, and encourage our Gamelofters to adopt best practices in the office and at home.

Safety & Privacy

It is vital to us that everyone who plays our games are treated with respect and able to express themselves freely. This is outlined in our Player’s Code of Conduct, which we are continually revising to better adapt to our community’s needs.

Data protection is also a key focus for us, and we have a strict data collection policy in accordance with local laws.

Better Representation

Representation matters, which is why we created Game Development Diversity Guidelines to help our teams create diverse and inclusive characters. Recent examples include a more accurate representation of Native Americans in The Oregon Trail and extensive avatar customization options in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but this is just the beginning!

In 2022, we launched an internal diversity art contest inviting our Gamelofters to imagine underrepresented characters they would love to see in games, and we implement the winner into one of our own. So far, we have had Ana & Limp in Idle Siege, Ayaka in War Planet Online, and a parasport dragon in Dragon Mania Legends.

We are also working to improve the accessibility of our games through a pilot initiative in The Oregon Trail, which includes options to change the contrast of some images and text, facilitating the experience of visually impaired players.

Supporting the Next Generation

Our studios across the globe work with local organizations to show students the endless possibilities of the industry, though mentorship programs, summer camps, and more.

Fostering the next generation of gamer creators is one of our core values, but we also give back to our communities through fundraisers and charities.

A Diverse & Inclusive World

We believe diversity is our strength. The Gameloft family is made up of over 56 nationalities across 10 studios around the world, and we are making strides to reflect the multicultural nature of our Gamelofters and players in our games.

Our goal is to build a more inclusive world together, and we regularly host campaigns—such as "We Belong Here" and "Girls Who Slay the Game"—that promote diversity and inclusion in the industry and highlight our wide array of talents who are behind our amazing games.

Levelling Up Together

We are a truly global team, and our studios regularly collaborate, sharing their knowledge and expertise to create amazing experiences.

We also offer multiple opportunities to grow through our internal learning platform, workshops, and conferences. We trust our Gamelofters in their pursuit of knowledge and new ideas, and we support them in their goals in other positions, fields, and studios.

Playing the Good Game

All Around the World

Our studios are committed to our mission and are constantly working towards a better world for the planet and society through local initiatives!

Many of our studios regularly collect new and gently used items to donate to local communities in need to promote sustainability and challenge overconsumption.

Our studios in Bucharest, Lviv, Montréal, and Yogyakarta also often participate in city cleanups and tree-planting initiatives, while Gameloft Kharkiv focuses its efforts on protecting wildlife in Ukraine.

For Society Gameloft
For Society

Since 2021, Gameloft Montreal has been presenting "Next Lev'Elles," an annual conference with influential women in gaming, while Gameloft Barcelona and Gameloft Brisbane organize panels and share their expertise for International Women's Day and beyond.

Fundraising also plays an important role in our studios, which raise money for various causes on a regular basis. They have previously donated to children's hospitals, orphanages, mental health organizations, rehabilitation centers, schools, and more.

For Our Talents Gameloft
For Our Talents

One of the ways our studios are encouraging our Gamelofters to grow is through various educational events.

For example, Gameloft Barcelona and Gameloft Paris hosted a VR experience to raise awareness for working and living with a disability, Gameloft Bucharest organized a conference on neurodiversity, and Gameloft Saigon held a sign language workshop.
