But, before you fight, be sure to understand the climate of war. To do this, you must know your battlefield. This dossier is going to teach you each location's background, history, and importance. Learn the maps, their environments, and execute on your objective.
Blackrock
High in the northern mountains lies Blackrock, a facility that supports the concept of hiding in plain sight. While the citizenry view this as an energy research station, in fact it houses something far more important.
Korp are using the technology contained within the center to develop high-tech equipment. Ranging from surveillance gear to robotic defenses and weapons, this target is far more strategic than its façade would have the public believe.
If you are hired to defend this area for Korp, then you must push back the insurgents. Do so without mercy, and protect the vital equipment contained within.
When working for OCTO you are tasked with trying to discover secret Intel and disrupting the production of weapons and technology. Attack with precision.
Sandstorm
In contrast to the highly visible Blackrock, Sandstorm is a more clandestine outpost of Korp. Hidden deep within the desert, you would have to be truly dedicated to stumble across this water purification facility.
There is good reason for Korp’s secrecy. They see controlling the water purification (and the purified water it creates) as vital to their operations. This is the reason behind their secrecy, enabling them to ration the water to better police the Macropolis's supply. With all the water they are also able to grow fresh food and plants for the city, and ration this too.
OCTO want you to take the fight to Korp… but not to disrupt this facility’s vital functions because that would only further hurt the city
By contrast, Korp need you to keep a tight hold on their investment... I mean, the city's resources. It was their money that enabled this pure water.

APEX
High above Macropolis is Apex, the rooftop of Korp's HQ. This is a symbol of the company's reach, power, and success. Some in its shadow see it as a sign of hope and comfort. Others see it as the yoke of their oppressor.
Covered in company logos, slogans, and high-tech panels, there is no mistaking whose roof you are on. A heavily defended business center marks the center of this area which is surrounded by camouflaged security.
Play smart and safe when you infiltrate this as OCTO, Korp will defend this symbol with all they have.
A Korp contract is quite different. The insurgents have made this personal for your employer with their continued attacks. Show OCTO that Korp aren’t playing.
Slums
Once part of an area intended for “Overhaul” (think corporate gentrification), the Slums were ear marked for development by Korp. But when the security dropped, OCTO forced the company out.
This is now HQ to the resistance force of OCTO, and a home for its supporters. But just because this area is nothing but a building site for Korp, does not mean that they will just leave it alone. If they can take the area back they can continue their development and strengthen the Macropolis, and force OCTO out into the open where they can finally put an end to this disruptive conflict.

OCTO has little to hold onto, but this is some of it. When you get hired to defend the resistance's home they pay top dollar if you achieve your objective.
In the Slums Korp is more invested in stopping the conflict that is slowing their plans. Fight hard, but don't cause more issues than you solve.
Long time Modern Combat players will be happy to see the Slums. Based on the fan favorite Dog Days map from MC4 – this area has been visually reinvented and tailored for the new Zone Control Game mode.
Port
The Macropolis was once free from conflict and the port was a hub for import and trade. Now, it is a hotly contested location by both OCTO and Korp as they battle to control this key strategic point.
With this turf war for the main pier raging on, this once vibrant and prosperous area is now a danger zone for workers, bringing the local industries to a halt. Here, nobody wins.
Both OCTO and Korp are fighting for the same thing here. Neither side has the upper hand, and they shall handsomely reward any Agent who can give it to them. Keep this in mind as you fight - because the bonus offered for success should more than outweigh the risks you take.
