A strong partnership to educate, develop and drive usage of mobile games in Africa and Middle East
Orange, which is represented in 22 countries in Africa and Middle East, teams up with Gameloft,a leading global publisher of digital and social games, to propose to its customer to have access to a whole mobile games offer on smartphones and java compatible device. Thanks to this new partnership, Orange is reinforcing its digital entertainment services and will support development of multimedia usage of its mobile customers.
This mobile games offer, proposed by Orange and Gameloft, will rely on Gameloft catalogue’s famous hits, such as Asphalt 6: Adrenaline; Assassin’s Creed: Revelations; Real Football 2012; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2; The Avengers; ...
Some projects have already been deployed in several countries, with a lot of success
Through this partnership will Orange and Gameloft propose more than 300 games, which will be available in a games dedicated section, accessible from Orange mobile portal. After a successful launch in Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Madagascar and Jordan, this new mobile games offer has also been launched in Egypt on June 26, and available for 32 millions Mobinil customers.
Since January 2012 a selection of 3 mobile games pre-installed was already proposed on low-priced smartphones. Thanks to their easy access, immediately on the home screen of the device, these games were available through the « Try and Buy » mode which allows customer to first test the game before buying it in a few clicks.
Besides, Orange is demonstrating again its implication in the development in Africa football, buy proposing an exclusive and above all version of the Gameloft game Real Football, also pre-installed on mobile phones.
With those innovative projects around gaming, Orange and Gameloft show a real attachment to contributing to the democratization of mobile multimedia usage in Africa and Middle East.
