You can watch R.E.D. compete live on Saturday (April 7th) at 4PM UTC here.
Your team is called R.E.D., where does that name and your logo come from?
Mozart_Foker: I started the clan because a guy in-game said I was good at playing Ronen and that he would love to be part of my clan. So, I abandoned the idea of joining another clan and created R.E.D. = Retired Extremely Dangerous! [The name was] because I’m 29 and the guy who asked to join my clan is 35, so I thought, “We are not so young anymore!” I mean we are not teenagers. In terms of playing video games I thought we should be “retired” but I knew we were still strong and dangerous.
How did you meet?
Mozart_Foker: I met Kraken in the MCVS Facebook group where I posted in Italian that I was searching for clan members. I was reading some comments in the group and I saw an Italian name, so I asked him if he plays and if he wants to join my clan. He said “Yes!” I had 50 members already in the clan so it was full. In order to let him join I had to kick a member who had been inactive for more than a week. Now Kraken is my second in command!
The other members I recruited in Discord.
What was it like proving yourselves the best MCVS players in Italy?
Dead Kill Hacker: It is always an amazing feeling to be the best player in your country!
Mozart_Foker: This is something you need to know: I’m not a [serious] gamer! I’ve never played for more than like 1-2 months of an FPS! Always [just] played in my free time and as hobby.
When I saw the ESL tournament I said, “Why not?! Let me give it a try and see what happens!” Once I identified the players I wanted to play with in the tournament, I said to myself “We have a chance, these guys really want to compete and win this tournament!”
Since the first match it was always thrilling emotion, and an adrenaline high while playing the matches. We wanted to prove ourselves. I still remember the thrill of winning the last match of the local finals!
Any tips for new comers to MCVS looking to compete at your level?
SorryImHaze: I would say that to play at high level you must have familiarity with all FPS games. You must also be consistent, practice, and believe in yourself.
Dead Kill Hacker: To become a top level player in MCVS, like in any other game, you need a lot of passion and a lot of practice!

Mozart_Foker: Tips for new comers to MCVS? Simple, be active daily, play as much as you can, [choose] your favorite agents and master them! [To be a pro, then you have to] master all Agents so you know how to play with all of them [and know how to handle them when you face them] as an opponent!
But practice as much as you can! Play with your teammates don’t play as solo. Be part of a team always!
So, you are off to the finals in Paris – what are your chances of winning?
Dead Kill Hacker: We are the best team in Italy, and we will prove we are the best team in the world too. We will win, 100%!
Mozart_Foker: Don’t forget, we are R.E.D., Retired but Extremely Dangerous! We don’t fear anyone! We'll play fair, and do our best!
SorryImHaze: Those players are tough, they are many of the best players in Europe and Asia. But we will go to Paris to win.
Do you have a message for the competition?
Dead Kill Hacker: I hope this will be a very good event and I hope that all the players will enjoy it! GL HF!
Mozart_Foker: Green White R.E.D. - ‘till I’m Dead!!!
