3D Graphics Programmer

PROGRAMMING ‐  Montreal : CANADA

ABOUT THE JOB

Are you passionate about video games? Do you want to keep progressing in an exciting, young and dynamic environment? Gameloft is currently seeking a 3D Graphics Programmer (Shaders).

Gameloft is an international developer and publisher of video games for mobile phones and consoles. Founded in 1999 and currently a leader in its sector, Gameloft distributes its games in over 75 countries. www.gameloft.com

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Implement and optimize special effects in 3D graphics engine;
Programmer in all relevant technical languages (C/C++/GLSL/HLSL/Cg);
Support 3D functions and systems conceived for the production;
Program tools necessary for other interventions;
Implement cutting-edge technology in 3D graphics to games on the latest generation of consoles;
Work in conjunction with Game Developers, as well as Design teams to determine the different constraints of the game and put all the elements together;

PROFILE

    Skills
    Required: C/C++;
    Required: OpenGL, DirectX, GLSL, HLSL, Cg;
    Required: Xbox and/or PS3;
    Asset: iPhone, PSP
    General requirements:
    Required: University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
    Required: In depth knowledge of 3D programming (OpenGL or DirectX);
    Required: Fluent in French and English;
    Important: Good organizational skills, ability to work alone or as part of a team;
    Important: 5+ years of programming experience in the game industry;
    Important: 2+ years in 3D rendering algorithms;
    Important: Experience in the video game industry;
    Important: Good understanding of gaming consoles and their constraints;
    Important: Understanding of free and commercial game engines;
    Important: 3D Studio Max basic knowledge;
