For how long is personal information stored?

Gameloft shall retain, use and store information about the person you represent as long as he/she is playing our games or using our Services, and also for any amount of time required to fulfill all of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. When you request that his/her personal information be deleted or if he/she do not play our games anymore, we will continue to store his/her personal information for 5 years in order to be able to resolve disputes and respond to any regulatory or police requests. We will store his/her personal information but we will cease to process it except under the conditions described above.

What safeguards are in place to protect the personal information belonging to the person I represent?

The personal information we create and collect within the state of California will be processed and stored in countries where our games and related services are based. Nevertheless:

• We may provide certain services (such as advertising, game progress and activities, and tracking), and organize and drive IT-security and personal information protection assessments, fraud investigations and audits from and through our resources and servers based in France (Paris), Canada (Montreal), and the United States. We may also work with partners and providers. This means that the personal information belonging to the person you represent may be transferred to these foreign jurisdictions outside California where he/she uses the product or service, and this information may be accessed from these foreign jurisdictions.
• The person may want to play with other users around the world. This means that his/her personal information displayed in clans, guilds, and on leaderboards may be accessed by other users based in these foreign jurisdictions. Such foreign jurisdictions have different information protection laws, but very strong requirements regarding the protection of personal information. In any case, we will treat his/her personal information with the same degree of protection as we would within the state of California. For example, we will take certain security measures, such as the minimization of personal information (i.e., we will strictly control and limit the amount of personal information used). We will not transfer the information belonging to the person you represent to any companies, organizations or individuals, unless:
• We transfer his/her personal information to other parties after his/her explicit consent is obtained
• In the event of any such sale or disposition of any or all of our business, his/her information may be transferred to the acquirer. The acquirer will contact the person you represent and provide him/her with prior notification of any changes in the processing activities.
• We may also disclose personal information belonging to the person you represent in accordance with the laws, legal procedures, litigation or compulsory requirements from the competent authorities.
