Disney Speedstorm - Privacy Policy for Children

The purpose of this children’s privacy policy is to provide information about how we handle and process children’s data and related parental data rights for the Disney Speedstorm game published on mobile platforms.  

This Privacy Policy is effective as of April 20, 2026, and was last modified on April 20, 2026. 

How does Gameloft define a “child”?  

The privacy and safety of children online is paramount to Gameloft. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, we define a "child" or an "underage user" as a user under the age of 18.  

What information does Gameloft collect about children and for how long? 

Gameloft collects only the minimum amount of personal information from or about a child for the sole purpose of providing the requested service.  

Gameloft retains, uses and stores children's information as long as they are using our Services. Generally, after a child stops using our services, we will keep their information for a specific period of time as set out below, which may be necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy for children.

When the user is under 18, we automatically show them the age appropriate version of the game. 

  • Anonymised upon collection (replaced with zero so that only information relating to age category (underage/overage) is retained). 

Persistent identifiers collected and processed for the sole purpose of providing support for our internal operations. We rely on the exception to verifiable parental consent set out in the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Rule (16 CFR § 312.5(c)(7)).   

  • Player ID – Generated by the game-server when new account is created to internally identify a user. Used by Customer care to identify the player making a demand related to a game or exercising his rights.  

  • Fed ID – An internal ID automatically generated by the game-server to recognize users within the Gameloft system. Collected and used directly from children for (i) statistical analytics and reporting purposes related to  game operations. and (ii) security purposes such as detecting and preventing fraud, hacking, and unauthorized access, and enforcing conduct against users who engage in  inappropriate behavior (e.g., by removing or banning such users). We do not  disclose this ID  to third parties or use it for  behavioral advertising or profiling.

Approximate location (country or state level) to provide the appropriate language and apply specific local law restrictions when applicable.

Technical information about user’s game progress (level-based progression, game economy, gameplay statistics, technical performance data) to personalize the game. 

We do not use this information for behavioural advertising or profiling.

Customer care:  

  • Parent or a legal guardian email for communications with a parent or legal guardian in connection with a child’s request for  a refund or to correct an inaccurate age. 

  • Communication support (discussion with customer care agents). 

  • Immediate deletion from our systems once the request has been processed. If a parent or guardian submits personal information about a child to us in response to such communications, e.g., a government issued identification document, we will delete that information, along with the parent’s or guardian’s email address,  immediately after we have completed the request.  

  • One year unless we need to retain such data for a longer time period that is necessary and proportionate to pursue our legitimate interests. Such interests include trust and safety, and the detection, investigation, and prevention of fraud, cheating, piracy, or other forms of abuse, as well as compliance and accountability obligations. 

Email address when the user creates an account on the website. 

We will not collect an email address from a child under the age of 18 in the United States.

Inactive (abandoned) user accounts 

Inactivity is determined based on the absence of login activity or other account interactions during the applicable period.

  • Rest of the world: 5 years after the last connection. 

With whom does Gameloft share children’s personal data, and for what purposes? 

To support the delivery and proper functioning of the service, certain trusted service providers require access to limited personal information from child users strictly for purposes related to our internal operations.  

  • Helpshift processes only the minimal data necessary to provide customer care, such as device information and support ticket identifiers, which enables the operator to maintain and analyze the functioning of the service (privacy policy).  

  • Backtrace receives technical crash and error‑related data, including device identifiers, solely to detect, diagnose, and prevent crashes or security issues to protect the security or integrity of the user, website, or online service (privacy policy)  

  • Google Cloud BigQuery stores and processes game usage and operational analytics so the developer can understand how the game performs and identify functional issues (privacy policy).  

The information is not used to contact a specific individual, create a profile, or enable behavioural advertising. All three providers act only as processors supporting internal functionality and do not use the data for any purpose beyond what privacy and data protection regulations permit.  

Does Gameloft share children's information to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) models?   

No. We do not use children’s personal information for training AI models. 

Does Gameloft enable access to social features to children?  

No. Gameloft internal policy is to disable social features to prevent children from disclosing personal information to Gameloft and/or to other players and to protect them from unsolicited and/or harmful content or interactions: 

  • No access to external social networks and/or use of social media features; 

  • In-game social features are restricted - no open chat services. 

These measures may deliberately go beyond certain local regulations to standardise practices and better protect children. 

What technical and organisational measures has Gameloft put in place to protect children’s information?  

To protect children’s personal data and ensure it is never used for any unauthorized purposes, we take the following actions: 

  • Maintain strict internal controls across our operations;  

  • Provide our staff with regular training on data protection and privacy requirements;  

  • Limit access to personal data only to authorized personnel who need it to support the app’s functionality;  

  • Implement data segregation practices;  

  • Store all data in secure environments designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.  

These measures are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain up to date. 

What does Gameloft put in place to enable parents to protect their children?  

Parental rights  

Parents and legal guardians acting on behalf of children have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of a child's personal data at any time. They may also withdraw consent to processing, obtain a portable copy of their information, or limit object to certain uses of their data. Children may also have their own data rights. What are the specific rules for mobile and websites?  

We adhere to the following practices tailored to the method by which children may access the Game and Services: 

  • PC or Console Platforms: The Game will be accessible to children on PC and/or Console platforms in compliance with applicable law and platform policies. When accessing the Game on PC and/or Console platforms, parents and/or guardians of children can set age or age categories and establish privacy settings when creating and managing their children’s accounts. Please review the terms and privacy disclosures specific to the platform service provider (e.g., Nintendo Switch™, Microsoft Xbox, etc.) for more details.  

  • Mobile Platforms: Children may access the game on mobile platforms in compliance with applicable law and the policies of mobile storefronts. In addition, Gameloft implements specific default restrictions for children using the Game on mobile applications as follows below. 

  • Website: To access the Game via the Website, children must have a Gameloft account. Parents and guardians must establish such accounts for children in accordance with applicable law. Newsletter subscriptions and promotional offer options will not be available to children and minors. 

We encourage parents and guardians to teach their children about privacy and how their information may be used online. Children should never disclose their real name, address or phone number, or any other personal information, without their parents' or guardian's prior permission.
